Ive heard there was a lot of swapping of parts and it makes sense that the later blue suffered as the company went downwards.Heard that the blue had more issues but cannot confirm.I can confirm that i know nothing more than that.And that is based on rumours.And second hand information.Some dude said he had 3 4ks and they all had different sounds.

what the hell happened to the original Adobe FrameMaker files for the MPC4000 Reference Manual?

They appear to have been lost, which meant I was never able to get hold of them and update them to reflect all the OS changes, despite repeatedly making approaches via people like Steve Howell (Hollow Sun), who was working for Akai in the UK on stuffs.

This guy is right, lol, Grande holdings also picked up Singer, according to my 5 mins of research, a sewing company, so that might suggest they wanted to do the elctronic game but not pro audio, and as for their GH, they still own Akai according to their website so that would probably not be Akai Pro, which is ya like all subsidary style with Alesis and Numark, hence thins like SR18/XR20, or some new MixDeck MPD thing they had at Namm this year.
