Not sure if its a bug the pad or what... but my pad 10 aint working.. im getting no velocity.. no nothing.. also my numeric button doesn't allow me to scroll through the samples and programs anymore.. all this recently started.. I dont believe its a pad issue (i took it apart and couldn't get anything from hitting the sensor itself)..
Am I doing something wrong or is it something with the XL 3.25 update? any help will be appreciated.

It will not be the update. You should tell us what model number it is. Check the connectors on the PCB, including the ribbon one. The ribbon one has a particular locking mechanism, so be careful, and make sure you know how it works before doing anything at all. search forum about this.
Older MPCs have a well documented pad problem, so read about that and compare model numbers. If for instance it is a BKN model the more likely it is a connector not seated properly.
You should know that akai did use very cheap and substandard tact switches. These are the 'buttons' soldered onto the MPCs PCB that are under the buttons. I have replaced 20 on my MPC1000. So if you can not solder it is time you learnt. It is worth learning to solder and also about electronics if you use electronic gear so you can maintain it and also save money.
Worst case scenario - say and you had a tact switch fail, one every few months, and you pay a hundred bucks for it to get repaired! add this up and it could cost $2000 for 20 tact switch repairs. Of course you would wait and get a few done at once to save money. But if you do it DIY then it costs $50 for all of em.
