MPC5000 reviews, bug reports and fellow user support on the most recent standalone, hardware MPC from Akai

Ok, I have 2 questions that I need help with. In my home studio, I have 2 yamaha hs80m monitors, axiom49 midi controller, akai EIE Pro audio interface, and the obvious MPC5000. The software I am using is Reason 6.5. Here are my 2 questions:

I want to be able to control and manipulate my sounds from Reason 6.5 with my Axiom49 Midi Controller, and be able to record patterns and sequences being created with the Midi Controller and Reason 6.5 into my mpc5000 so that I can lay out the track on the mpc5000 for live performances. How do I go about accomplishing this as far as connections and any software settings?

My second question is this. Once I have the connections and settings configured, on the mpc5000, how do I go about recording the sounds from reason and into the mpc5000?

Any and all help is appreciated!!!

is the computer coming with you on the live performance? IF not,
Your biggest issue would be recreating the patches from reason into the mpc as mpc pgms. (You have to rerecord almost each note from the reason patch and make the patch manually in the mpc... The laborious work far outwieghts the benifits..

A much easier way would be to use the hd recorder for the reason patches.. And keep what ever midi sequencing you do in the mpc .. ie...

you made drum chop programs on the mpc..
you sequence them as normal...
.. You setup up midi channels in the mpc tracks that corresponds to the midi ins of reason. play and record the sequences with the axiom into the mpc and that then sends midi to play reason's sounds.
when your ready to get it out onto the mpc you just use the hd recorder and record it as songhdaudio tracks back into the the mpc.. You shouldn't need to sync anything as all sequencing is done by the mpc...

IF you do sequencing in the mpc and reason, then you need to use mtc sync..
