jjos128xl mixdown

Since purchasing the new large screen and the new jjos for the screen i am so pleased! I love the mixdown function in song mode. makes the workflow between the mpc and PC much much easier. no recording thru an interface into DAW. just drag and drop. What i like to do is make a mixdown wav of each track on my MPC, then drag them into Reaper do some aligning and go to mixing the song. Awesome. ...word

I'm so f.ckin happy I finally jumped into the 128xlcd. I'm glad I didn't buy the Ren and instead, I invested in the new screen with a new os that actually works!

There are not enough users posting about OS128XL.It is great to hear your opinion.

I don't have 128xl...yet. However, since reading the the OP's post I was reminded of seeing that function on one of the screens in os2xl, but wasn't sure what it was. Sure enough that function is available on os2xl. So, thanks to iNdaVizual for sparking that idea as it is much easier to just mixdown and drag & drop. Thank God for JJ!!!!

Is there Any loss in audio quality

i have a question.... are you able to preview sounds on the cf card while the sequence is playing with the osXl and the big screen?? on the 1000 u can preview the sounds but cant have the beat playing, a feature i love about the 500... so this mixdown thing can be done in jjos2xl??

no you can not preview rhe sounds in the cf card while the beat is playing. once you go to that screen the beat stops.

no this can not been done once you go to the save or load screen the beat stops.

i dont believe there is a lost in audio quality. ive made a beat everyday since i got it on thursday and i been more than satisfy with my results, quality wise. but as nym said. the new os128xl screen is a bit shakey still. i find that sometimes the screen doesnt keep up with me. like i can switch to another screen and it sometimes takes a second to get there.

I haven't noticed a loss in audio quality on os2xl either. I'd have to imagine it's roughly the same on 128xl. I thought it might have been similar to the resample feature, where I did notice a distinct loss in audio quality, but it wasn't and the audio quality didn't seem to change noticeably.

I'm sure if you went over it with a fine tooth comb you might notice some artifacts and whatnot, but again, nothing noticeable.

Are you saying you can access the load screen, while sequence is running, and scroll
your samples to audition?You need to provide something to back this statement, as it
is skepticism until I see proof.

the sequence has to be stopped before you go into load mode, but once in load mode, yes. u can hit playstart and the sequence plays while u preview samples on the card by pressing play...
