I've just upgraded from JJOS 3.1 to JJOS-XL. I haven't recieved my key yet, so the OS is not "activated".

However, before the upgrade, using JJOS 3.1 i could find and use my internal drive in the LOAD page, hopwever, after installing JJOS-XL i can't find my harddive.

I've read that I'll have to format the drive after installing XL but I can't format the drive if i cant find it?

do not format your drive

you have to pay to open the save screen, and it should be there when you get code.
Use CF card to transfer the OSupgrade the free jjos to 3.15, as it is part of xl

If I remember correctly jjos2xl does not support internal hard drives. Hopefully I'm wrong.

i just remember reading in i think it was the jjos comparison charts back in 2011 that it didnt support the harddrive. i was thinking about going with a solid-state hd, i went with a 16gb cf card instead, works like a dream :)

You can't mount your internal drive through USB, only the CF card (according to the manual)

According to the JJ OS Comparison chart the "Save / Load from Internal drive" is only supported by AKAI OS, JJ OS Ver3.10 and OS1

If yours is working I'd like to know how the heck you got it too, cause I can't seem a way to get mine to work?

You and/or others are confusing internal HD and the internal MEMORY. OS2 and OS2XL use that memory space for the OS so that's why it's not available. It's like 5mb anyway so why any1 would want to use it?!?
