Last step to recording sequences from the MPC to Logic

I have done quite some research on this. My logic and MPC 2500 JJOSXL and now in sync using the midi beat clock, i checked to make sure it works by using the transport controls and everything seems to set up correctly. Now the part where I am stuck at, is what kind of track do i need to make in logic to record the tracks!? i've tried changing the midi channels of the audio track but i still get nothing. I'm sure it's the simple part of executing this environment which is why i cannot find my answer online.

EDIT: Rereading your post, should it be from the out of the mpc to the in of the interface and not the other way around?

I tried all inputs and input 5 seems to record whats playing in my logic..

Do you have your interface connected via USB to your computer?

When in Logic under the i believe global/audio settings you should have your interface selected, you should do this for your computer audio as well. So that way the sound is traveling from your MPC to your Interface (through the audio ins) then from your Interface to your Computer via USB.

Yes the interface is connected via USB and input 5 (all the other inputs dont record anything [1-4 and 6]) seems to record whatever is playing on my macbook pro. I didnt have my computer audio set to the interface, I just did and still no result.

So are you telling me to connect the mpc out through the ins of the interface?????

Maybe I have to tinker with the Audio MIDI Setup program and actually set my environment?

This shits making me go crazy and now I don't even want to record each track 1 by 1 directly on my mpc then export the wav files anymore.

you might be overcomplicating things. this is the very basics here. no environment or audio/midi special setup is required.

1) trying to record sounds from your mpc into logic

or are you...

2) using the mpc to trigger logic, and you want to record the mpc triggers?

i know personally i can't help you until i figure this out.

For now, I want to know how to record my work on the mpc straight into logic.

i'm going to assume you mean the sounds aka the audio from your mpc into logic.

you plug a 1/4" cable from your mpc main audio outs into any input on your quad capture. then you create an audio track in logic and set the input to the same input you plugged your mpc into.

hit the little red 'r' on that track, hit record in logic, and play your mpc.

if you do anything with midi at this point you are doing it wrong.
get the basics down first, then you can add on midi.
