Whats up forum heads, just a quick question, i wanted try os1, and see if it would better my workflow, everything was fine with the the mp before i booted up os1, then all of a sudden with either os1 or the free os, the timing is out of wack! i went back and downloaded the free os from the site to see if that would fix it, but no. I messed with all the timing rate's, it does not matter what i put the timing on, it still times out the same way, the swing does nothing also. What could it be :hmmm:

Please any insight would help!!

More info required.

Timing could mean a number of different things, you need to be more specific.

Thanks for the reply, yes like random drifting, its crazy, This is my second R & B 1000 (sold the first one to get my Mv in 08), picked it up like 6 or 7 month's ago, replaced ALOT of things on it, the previous owner must of had mad roaches in his crib  . I gave it a good cleaning, dam near a full shower.
I never gave it a good like hose down with some canned air tho, also my main button & right cursor button work when they want to. Maybe a good blow with some air & alittle deoxit on the problem buttons might work :?: Guess the Mv will have to come out the closet for awhile till i figure this out!!

Just curious, but did you hold down [ERASE] after the first time you booted the MP up after installing OS1? If you didn't, I'd suggest reinstalling it and doing it on the first boot up. It's not written in JJ's instructions but is written in the manual.

One thing to keep in mind, is that your sequences from Akai OS and like OS1 are NOT going to be compatible out-of-the box on JJOS2XL, if you ever run it.

I tried running some sequences when I first installed os2xl yesterday and I was like "holy hell, i have that same timing problem that guy was talking about." Except, I didn't--my midi events were all out of whack so it sounded like the timing was off. I digress but wanted you to know all the same.
