What's the best way to clean your MPC Ren?

I like to keep my equipment as clean as I can for as long as I can but the other day a friend of mine came by and made a beat on the Ren and the next day I noticed a bunch of smudges inbetween the pads, I tried to wipe it clean but they're still not coming out. I don't want to use anything too strong (with chemicals) and make things worst, so I was wondering what's the best thing to use to clean the Ren?

I don't know what he had on his hands but next time I'll tell won't you just beat box the beat you want and I'll record it for you.
I think he must've had some greasy food on his fingers.

ive had success cleaning all my gear with micofiber cloths. works great for finger prints, but i don t kn what ur friend had on his digits to leave those kinds of smudges... sounds nasty

They sell wipes for that sort of thing, yes? (Aww yeah, check me out, I'm in godlike mode ha!)

Best to soak a rag in clean dish washing water and rinse and dry it out until its partially wet. Rub it down and it'll come off. Use Dawn.

I use the wipes that the sell in computer stores for electronic products.

do you think there's special procedure for cleaning Ren if there is manual should cover it. if there aint, then same way you been cleaning all your electronics all these years should work just fine

this is silly imo what do u use to clean ur other equipment? surely that can be applied to cleaning the ren as in this is a pretty common sense question, i would not think this requires u to ask on the internet

Anything that's cool to use on plastic will be fine.

Man that's silly for you to say "this is silly" , I mean common sense would tell you that hey maybe this guy had a bad experience before trying to clean some equipment. Truth be told I kind of jacked up my triton (slightly) cleaning it with the wrong stuff, so now I don't use anything except a slightly moistened cloth (with water) or a dry cloth. My normal cleaning procedures didn't work with the Ren so I figured I'd ask my fellow MPC users for suggestions.

When I had my CDJs I nearly jacked up one of the screens by using vinyl cleaner on it.

I tested it on an inconspicuous area of the deck and it was fine, but when I got to the screen it started eating into it!

i've seen people with drinks and such in vids. it's only a matter of time.......
