Sample/Pad Problem

Okay so I was finally able to get samples into my Akai mpc 500. Unfortunately every time I assign a sample to a certain pad it automatically assigns to pad 10 or the first pad I press to assign a sample. So if I assign my sample to any other pad it just goes to pad 10 and I want my samples in all the pads. Any suggestions?

Also it asks me if I want to replace a sample when there is no sample in the pad. I NEED YOUR HELP PLEASE.

Okay so I checked out the manual. Seems i'm doing everything right. not really sure whats going on. I know that the second time I replace a sample no sound comes out of the pad I placed it in. If I put another sample in the pad I already placed theres no sound that pad aswell.

I'm pretty much good with the loading samples process. I'm just caught in this conflict. I wonder if its a hardware issue but my Akai mpc 500 has been acting up alot lately.

I have these samples in a folder. Should I create a program to put them in?

Hmmmn, are your samples all 16-bit wav files? Are you able to preview them before selecting them to place on a pad?

Yes im sure they are wave files and I can preview them when I go to the load menu
