just got one of these.. ill post pics soon but mines not pretty like the others in here its "mad gwimey son" as KevBrown would say... has finger and hand grime all around the data knobs and buttons...
anyway how are you using your s1000kb? im using mine with a mpc2k to sequence and everything works wonderfully using the 8 outs to track it and i even sample thru it to brighten up samples going into the mpc when im using that instead... feels good having this rare sampler even though its some what of a dinosaur and saving takes me about 30 minutes to format several floppies and save them (NO SCSI on mine!!!!!!)

I don't know why, but this device looks depressive....

I missed out on one the other day (S1000KB) that went for about £75, as much as I like to collect vintage gear due to the size of the thing I don't want it anymore. I'll settle for an S1100 rack and call it a day. The thing is freakin huge, plus I dont need the keys eating up my precious living space.

That I cannot say, having not seen one in the flesh. But in 2013 there are more convenient, lighter, more flexible alternatives for providing keys that are less likely to crap out when you least expect it. Unless its dirt cheap I wouldn't now bother with the S1000KB.

Even though I can use my MPK49 and some synth plug-ins, I'm still on the look out for the S1000KB or the AX73 or AX80.

ive seen one for 200 eu
i asked how much memory it has, no reply yet..

61 key keyboards seem to start at about 150, but i have no idea whether to expect quality at that point. i've also seen an arturia joint, which is about 350, has pads, some knobs, is a usb-midi converter and has 3500 presets of their v-line synths (basic tweaks are possible)

Always thought these were cool and the gang! I' love to see those pix... especially if it's grimy! 8) Don't think I could give one a good home, but I would love to mess around with one.
