Really been curious about those Yamaha sequencers since psr recently rated one above the Akai ASQ10/ MPC60 offering. Sure the step sequencer is handy for particular styles, but is there something else that I'm missing?

@ clint lol well i never use the step seq function on both.. but it works aight tho! but normal overdub mode works the best for me.. besides that the rm1x and the su700 are a deadly combo! :-D

@shyftexhales, Cool, I'll have to look further into the SU700 box of tricks.

@olavi3000, I was looking for your other photos, you're setup takes 'minimal' to a new level. I imagine you have a turntable for sampling and do the rest 'in the box'?

Yeah, turntable is on the side table next to audio interface. All the other stuff is in the closet. I like it so i can carry everything with me in a laptop bag. Also, my 8 months old daughter is interested on everything she sees, so there are less cables and stuff to grab on.

Finally added the S950 to my set up. Now I just need a mixing board and I am set.

wd40 i use it for all sort of electrical contact cleaning.

Tripping on those wires looks almost inevitable, I believe some cable management would be a sensible idea.

Is there another sequencer in there or is it just the MPC1000 running all those boards?
