Am I reading this correctly?

Upgraded to 64MB RAM (2 x 32MB cards).

Unless he knows something that we don't... 32MB of RAM is the max that the 2KXL will show even with an extra stick of 32GB RAM equalling 64MB.

I've heard of 40mb cause of the optional flash storage. But unless I tried physically filling up 64mb on this machine I wouldn't trust it. I'm curious as to if anyone else has done this.... Or it's just BS.

i imagine it is just ignoring the second 32mb stick - too easy to try and still not have heard of nothing for all these years. most likely a generic seller trying to pimp it out as much and as cheaply as possible.

having said that - who's gonna try ;].

I have a feeling that even if somehow it shows up in the disk screen .. once you fill it past 32 megs it wont work properly if at all....

My thoughts as well, even if it does recognize the amount of space it wouldn't know how to allocate data across all of it. I think tape deck is right, he shoved two 32mb ram sticks in just for the hell of it.

he probably shoved two 32mb sticks because he couldn't find two 16mb sticks.

My xl had two 16 meg sticks of this expensive xerox ram that was intended for one of their high end print machines.. actually I got the sticks for free essentially.... but found out apparently they were sought after by people who had the machines because while they were standard simms... I have a feeling the owners of that xerox were under the impression it took proprietary ram... haha... Either way, they looked like they had platinum contacts.

I've always wanted to add a 64MB or a 128MB stick of RAM in my 2000XL just to see what would happen.
But I don't have that kind of $$$ skrilla to just piss away "in case" it doesn't work.

If that machine could actually address 64mb, I rather suspect we would know by now. Only way to find out is to ask the seller a question and see what gives...
