sup peeps.

ive just recently purchased an mpc1000. ive tried to put the beats from the mpc on to computer (windows). and its not working!!!!

i know i need some sort of software to register the mpc format, but which software would i need to do so!?

ive looked at komplete 8 , and cakewalk sonar.. any of them any good?
i just need to get it up on computer, put it to either mp3 or WAV and im set to go!

ive tried ableton live & reason prior to the mpc but im not much of a software type guy so i dont really know the ins and outs of them all :/

ive seen fruity loops could be the go, does the mpc work with edison?

any other suggestions plz apply! BOOM!

happy beatmakin' peeps!

thanks in advance!

What are you trying to do with your MPC beats in your computer? Are you talking about mixing them down to a master, performing more work on them, adding vocals etc?

MPC format is for MPCs - if you want to mix down in a computer DAW, you need to 'track' your MPC 'sample' tracks out of the MPC audio outs and into DAW audio tracks (i.e. any track in your MPC that plays back internal samples has to be tracked out). MPC MIDI tracks (used to control external MIDI instruments) can either imported directly to the DAW or 'recorded' in real time from MPC to DAW.

ive made a full beat on my mpc. sequenced it all, got enough bars in there for a song i just need to know how to transfer all that on to the computer to make it eligible to use it in a DAW to record some vocals over the top.. ?

You need to connect the audio outputs of your MPC, into the inputs of the audio interface on your computer. Then you need a DAW program to record that audio. You can use something free like Audacity - if you don't have a DAW already.

hey man. thanks for that! when you say i have to 'track' each sample out to DAW. where it says-and you can change 'MIDI" and 'DRUM' on the LCD.. is that the start of something to do with the 'tracking' ? so im sort of heading in the right direction :)... i have the manuals, and the 'E-Book for Beatmaking' through you guys, does any of them talk you through step by step how to do this? thanks again
