problem fx sets

Hi everybody!
In my MPC 2500 SE there are 5 effect set (fx1, fx2, master fx) presets. If I use one of them, in the MIXER MODE I can regulate for each pad the amount of send, so with the slider I can decide how much of the sound of a certain pad has to be sent to the fx1 or fx2. Well, if I use a set created by me I can't regulate this parameter!
In other words, using one of the effect set presets, moving the slider I can see, in MIXER MODE in the page FX SEND, the coloumn of the selected pad going up and down; using an effect set created by me, moving the slider nothing happens, the sound of the pad is all sent to the effect, so I can't regulate this amount.
Do you know how I can solve this problem?

I don't understand your problem here.. Effect sets are just way of storing FX1/FX2/MASTER effects and their setting to a file. You can then program one set to be selected in STEP EDIT and set it to affect your PAD or TRACK (JJOS).

In Mixer mode choose which effect slot you'd like to use (FXSEND) for any pad and use the Q-Link slider to set the send level. Note that Effects only go through 'Stereo Out' (ST) so you can't use any other output if you want to use effects on your sounds. Check out the (L/OUT) page.

I made ad error in setting outputs in mixer mode!

Just another little question: in the mpc 2500 there are 7 fx if I remember well (mpc not in front of me right now), but only with REVERB and DELAY I can adjust the amount of send to the fx in mixer mode; with EQ, COMP, BIT GRUNGER ecc I just can't... Is it normal?

this is just the way certain effects are normally used: some effects like reverb are mostly just used as sends on a portion of the original sound so that some of the original sound is maintained.
other effects like eq or compression are mostly used as inserts so that the whole signal is affected.
there are other ways to use effects in modern production but the mpc is a bit limited to the core functions.

anyways there are ways around this: if you copy a pad and use different fx settings on that you can get to any state between dry and wet with any effect.
