Anyone serious about getting the Ren or studio should already know
that the CPU is the computer. The reasoning for the software/controller combo is the
fact that extra features can be easily added via the software upgrades.

Getting back on track I hope this 1.3 updates which looks promising is actually solid cuz we already had two strikes at bat and we dont need another 3rd. If this one is a hit out the park then we are on the road to success. I hope they get it right this time so I wish for them to take their time. But still let us know what's coming.

I don't see why its a such a big deal for them to just put out a statement even if they are going to delay the release. This would satisfy lots of people.

Hello everyone. Though I've been learning from you guys for quite some time, I've only recently joined the forum and didn't introduce myself in my earlier posts, please forgive me. I have a question; On the Akai site under minimum system requirements (at the bottom), it has Windows 7 listed as "(32 or 64 bit)". Is this any indication of wonderful things to come or am I misunderstanding the whole OS support thing? Thanks fellas.

That just means you can install the Ren on a 32 or 64 bit OS.

all I need now is it to be stable and have double pushing of bank buttons to access additional banks and double pushing sample edit to access sample record function.

Yessir, Yesirrrrr. I miss it more than you could imagine. 1.3 would fill the void nicely though :smoker:

I hope it's good news...

And that is all I wanted those guys to do. Just show the software and give their feedback...good, bad, or indifferent.

I have lived here 10 of the past 13 years. I love it but it is time to return home. You can't find good BBQ, pizza, cheese steak, etc in Japan.

UPDATE:

Pete Goodliffe:
"@HellfireBeats BTW, we have double click to add/remove a slice in the sample editor"

This is one aspect that has frustrated me with Maschine and 1.1 and 1.2 of the Ren coming from using Recycle. I found myself clicking on the waveform and nothing happening outside of auditioning a sample.

With 1.3, simply click on the waveform to insert slice markers. Click on the slice markers to remove them. It is super fast to manually chop this way.
