MPC vs. Maschine

I know alot of people out there are deciding between the maschine and mpc. all i wanted to say and i have the right to say it, is that maschine is nothing compared to the mpc. i think the maschine is very limited on what you can do. i worked with a maschine for about half a year and every single time i made it a beat i felt like i was limited to what i can do. so now i sold my maschine and got an mpc 1000 and i do not regret that at all. even though i spend hella money on getting the mpc i still think it was worth it.
i mean if you honestly take a look at great producers like dr. dre, battle cat, kanye west, j dilla, etc. they all use mpcs. not maschine!
maschine is only good with making dubstep and all that shit.
i hope this helped people if they were bouncing between the maschine and mpc

I think you should keep your opinions to yourself.

The dudes you mentioned we're making beats long before Maschine was released so obviously would use MPCs.

I've heard lots (check Es-k & hellfire & no ID) of brilliant hip hop joints created on Maschine.

I'm an MPC fan as well and prefer the workflow but your post was just horse shit.

i expected people to hate. all im saying is i was really unhappy with the maschine, and i wish i bought an mpc instead.
and yeah its true maschine wasnt around, that was my bad.

The Maschine has it's uses. Just like every equipment these companies make.
I'm not mad at the Maschine, in fact I own one. But, it isn't a MPC. Nothing is like an MPC!!! Perhaps you should look into the Akai Renaissance if you like computer production and want the feel of an MPC.

The Maschine obviously didn't fit your flow, so you got what works for you. Thats what its all about, finding that soulmate. Be proud and make them beats.

Honestly though, I aint down with these controllers, its like Hip Hop on life-support the way its tethered to a computer. But most here like going up the mountain on a jet, I just prefer to walk to indulge all that mother nature and smoke it too. You can't smoke on jets anymore, 9mean? But hey, thats me.

Enjoy your MPC and stick to beats instead of beef.

word. im new to the maschine but from just browsing the menus and sub menus, i cant imagine any situation where i wouldnt be able to reproduce what i do on the mpc in teh maschine.

and that line about dubstep is crazy talk. what makes the maschine better for dubstep?

Ignorance. Total ignorance lol. On a side note I could also point out that A) the reason most of those guys are using mpcs is because they have had them for 20 years. They are also not using Mpc 1000s they are all on 3000s except kanye who only uses his 2000 to sequence his asr10 to my understanding. There are a ton of dope producers using Maschine as well Brian Mcknight, Khyrsis, Tha Bizness, Ski Beatz, No ID and the list goes on. Maschine is just another option for those who want it.

^Casts your recent thread in an even better light when you see some of the crazy talk that usually ensues, KevWestBeats. But you were right the 4 pages of your thread had good info on both units and it fared better than most of these ones.

Personally I feel like the majority of this silliness is like arguing over Stanley vs. Craftsman hammers. It's just tools, nails are gonna whacked regardless.

I'm not a fanboy either way. I think any tool for any job and make good music. That's just me. But to add to the list I recently found out RZA is using Maschine now too and he's an old Sp Mp cat so this thread is kinda ridiculous.

I disagree, it's not about the tools you use it's all about talent. You can make any type of music on any DAW, sequencer or MPC-like solution.
