Hdd vs card: finger drumming

Hey, just copped a 1k and il be gettin it upto standard this week. I'm gonna use it mainly for finger drumming. Will this cause issues with a hdd? I understand that its more likely to be at risk when reading/writing at which point i wont be hittin the pads but just wanted a few opinions. I'm my bothered by speed or convenience etc, i simply want to know details of reliability and longevity, thanks

Standard HDD is your best bet. If you're wondering about SSD, the read/write (mainly the write) has a limited number of uses so a standard HDD is best. Data writes and reads are slower on a regular HDD, but at least you know it can last you years upon years with no problems or slowdowns.

i would agree that a standard hdd is probably fine, except with the ssd, i think the write amount is something that you will never run out of in practical use, CF cards have limited write numbers too, but none that i have heard of have been a problem for anyone.
