cant hear the effect through my moniters

I'm using mpc 2000xl I can hear the effect applied through my headphones, but not through my moniters how can i hear it through my moniters (main outs)?? thanks in advance

Tell us a bit more about your kit.

Are you talking about the internal effects board or something external?

Is there a mixer between the MPC & your amp?

Are the headphones direct into the MPC or into a mixer?

YEAH THE HEADPHONES ARE COMING DIRECTLY OUT THE MPC ITSELF AND MY MONITORS ARE HOOKED UP TO MY BEHRINGER(MX 2004A) MIXER. I HAVE MY 8 OUTS GOING INTO MY MIXER AND FROM THE MIXER THE MONITORS ARE THE MAIN OUTS. I APPLIED EFFECTS THROUGH THE INTERNAL EFFECTS BOARD IN THE MPC. DON'T HAVE A MANUAL AND CAN'T READ FILE FROM THE OFFICIAL WEBSITE(IT MUST BE IN WINDOWS FORMAT)BOTTOM LINE IS I DON'T KNOW HOW TO USE EFFECTS BOARD

I never got the internal effects board because other MPC users I knew said they had not liked it. This could be one reason, if it only works through the stereo outs!!!

Try putting the stereo outs through your mixer too. You should get the effected sound through those.

in the fx setting choose to bus it to a set of outputs ( open window). the fx are stereo to so it has to be paired. say 1/2. then you can mix thwe wetness in with the dry to taste. you have to use a bit of distorion and gain to get a nice sound out of the fx. theres alot of answers in that white book that come with your mpc.

Guys thank you so much . I was in a rush so what I had to do was add the effect to the sample in Peak and then sample it back into the MPC so I could meet a deadline. I don't have a White book. Anyway thanks
