[OS2XL] Automating internal track pan/volume via CCs

Hey, so is this possible? I know it's not possible to do via the Qlinks, for whatever reason. But can I use an external MIDI controller to record pan/volume changes for a single track? Can this be done on the grid edit CONTROL screen?

Actually, I tried recording automation to CC 7 (Volume) but it didn't seem to affect anything (I assume it only affects external MIDI).

Yes pad 4 set midi to mixer.

But I don't quite understand -- I get that you record the changes on the track, but how do I edit them in grid mode? Doesn't that just correspond to MIDI sent out?

Ok, I've worked out you can automate the track volume/pan via the Q-links. I also found the setup for MIDI mapping the level/pan to an external controller under the MIXER section.

Guess this can be closed or whatnot.
