Memory Card Problem

Hello, I just got an MPC 1000 from my friend and ordered a memory card for it online but when I insert the memory card, the screen goes blank. Has anyone else encountered the same problem?

Check you don't have a bent pin in the contacts inside the card reader slot.
It's very easy to damage them if you are not careful inserting the card.

I checked but all the pins seem to be fine. Is there anything else you think might be wrong with it? Or do you know a good place to have it looked at?

Did you tried another card? The problem only occurs with just that particular card? And, does the 1000 work without the card? You need to do the dianosis before posting homeboy. Sounds like you collapsed into a nervous breakdown the first minute of use and came posting, you know. Chill out and examine your issue and do all that it takes to determine the problem.
