Mode button fix? -Urgent

Quick question, someone has offered to sell me a mpc2500 however, everything works but the mode button is loose and needs to be pressed hard to activate it.

Now this has got me worried but can anyone tell me if there is a fix and should I be worried about this incase it means future problems later on?>

either you'd need to change just the plastic button, clean the tact switch or solder a new one.

How easy is to clean the button? I can't solder for crap so I'm worried that I may have to.

Chances are its just a $4.00 button
Mine cracked and had to press super hard to get it to work,
Oped the case and sure enough the button was cracked in half
