My MPC doesnt want to go to the main sequence screen

The past month or 2 ive been experiencing on and off problems with the mpc and its driving me nuts that i cant just turn it on and let the music flow out.

Problem: I turn on the mpc and it will stay on the "MPC1000 (128mb)" screen and do absolutley nothing (when its suppost to go to the main sequencing screen). I tried messing with it and nothing works. I've been turning it on and holding the play button and that worked 1 out of the 500 times ive must of done it.

See if taking out the ram will fix it.

I dont know how many times ive tried that in the past but i just tried again and no luck

Exactly what troubleshooting steps have you taken so far? Have you tried a factory reset? Checked for bent CF card pins? Popped open the assembly and checked for loose cables? Etc, etc, etc...

Give that MPC a good slap, that should fix it.

damn, that really sucks, i would try opening it up though. even if your not techie, its not too hard (only 10-15 screws) and i would also try to check for anything looking weird inside there. if not, maybe sending it to mpcstuff.com or forat and see if they can fix it.

there might be some local mpc repair technicians also. sorry man, hope you fix it though, thats frustrating.
