After the shop closed I only kept one. A couple years later through it on it was in fact the instrumentals. I was like YES FINALLY.

Yeah I got that honeydrippers break here. Lost my vinyl copy (bootleg anyway).

The loop I have is the Ultimate Beats and Breaks one that has a scratchy sound on it. That same version has been running on the web for years. I may have a cleaner one that I didn't sample myself though.

I had posted 5 links to zips like that here before (i.e I didn't sample them like the initial folders on this thread.)

http://www.mediafire.com/?p4656eodep3ukvk

http://www.mediafire.com/?73trar2dzrkr9uw

http://www.mediafire.com/?fo3fcjng9587n5v

http://www.mediafire.com/?osg0krhnu8lb585

These are links to a set of 300 classic loops called All The Breaks. The makers of the set used to sell it. I have no idea what became of them and frankly they were selling uncleared samples anyway so... (still respect for culling the set)

These are like 3 or 4 loops per WAV file and will need to be trimmed. A desktop sample editor might be easier than just trying to chop the 3 or 4 breaks out the one WAV in the MPC. But they would all be well under 128MB so it's more the tediousness I'm warning about.

I'll inbox you a link to just the one loop too. But these 3 zips are worth grabbing.

I'm sorting 6 hard drives, you need drums, perfect timing. :)

Nah man. 16 bit 44khz all day. I got like 2 sample off mp3 in my whole 550GB.

Even broke there's always a way to get sounds. And like I said single uncleared drums seldom if ever are caught by the sample police. There are very high qualities libraries to be purchased I have many. But drums off recorded songs are always the best ticket to that classic hip hop sound. Even with the best libraries I still layer the sampled hits in.

I'll keep doing what I can to help you out. It's community oriented up in here. This forum is equal parts informative and mad fun.

Oh shit, Dr. Lonnie Smith. The last job I had was a bar that did live music, he came through a couple times. Mostly was blues acts though, Edgar Winter and those types.

Here's 3 recordings of the Impeach break - http://www.mediafire.com/?9400ya1paf6welp

My friends got overwhelmed when I drop sounds on them.

I think more is more though, especially if the quality is there throughout. Eventually you get to them all. But yeah you should be able to make a whole lot of drum PGM's with just the two folders. (look on the one I was picking and choosing and only got to the letter "F" )

Yeah Cool Edit Pro 3 I use to use it for PC same program I still use it in classic mode which works like Cool Edit. I only really use it to chop on mac/tell if someone has messed with the quality of the MP3 or sample.

Metatron72 wrote: the fill loops are because I'm so OCD with sampling I will literally sample one hat or 3 quick beats in the space of 2 beats time. Just front ends of records that are too short to loop but are worth jacking singles from. I'm a huge Jamaican music fan and almost everything from 1967 to the 1980's has beats to jack at the Intro. And many Jazz/Soul records have the same thing.

They should all stand up well to some distortion and bitcrushing or whatever. I sampled them all at the levels of the CD/WAV. So there's a little headroom to have them hotter on output from your MPC or computer.

And my pleasure guys. :-D

my man!

cheers meta, will maybe come in handy one day :P

you guys are all pretty sharing when it comes to samples, i dig that.

wabox maybe try to do the drums with quantize off. It may take more tries but ultimately might be easier to get your drums where you want them. It also sounds like the Thelma Houston sample is slightly longer than one bar.

This is copy/pasted from a 2500 review - (I seldom use my MPC's I have so much software, so I had to resort to the copy/paste, as I would struggle to explain it. I need to work one them back into flow, soon)

"There's another option that ties in with this called continuous sample track. It's useful in situations where you have long samples that start in one sequence and continue into the next.

Ordinarily, if you're working on the second sequence the long sample won't be triggered since it begins on the previous sequence.

But if you assign it to the 'continuous sample track' then the MPC will figure out the point in the sample it should start on relative to the current sequence, and play it back from there as if it were operating like a hard disk recorder.

You can't have more than one 'continuous sample track' playing, and therefore you can't do pseudo multi-tracking, and you can't add effects or filters in real time."

Not exactly your issue but hearing the issue you had on the one you just posted you might end up looking at this feature sooner than later as your get deeper into multiple sequences and samples of varying lengths.

What MPC do you use wabox?

I think the JJOS can do 8 continuous tracks. I have to check if that's XL only. The rare times lately I have an MPC running it's just for drums, and really I only used them sparingly for the last year to slave my DAW's to a tighter clock.

(although I'm starting to realize my RME interface is probably as tight if not a bit tighter than my 1000/2500. The 4000's MIDI clock is ridiculously tight though.)

I got all my MPC's for pretty cheap as interest in such thing is very low where I live. I doubt there are more than 20 MPC's in my city.

What do you mean by "8 continuous tracks", 8 tracks playing at once?. The only thing i have hooked up to my MPC is a turntable. I had to get my MPC online since there are probably 0 here.
