New to the DAW game...

Just bought Logic, have a MPC Ren....Is this all I need to begin sampling, making beats, recording and mixing tracks? No other interface nor mixers needed?

Yep.

Logic is powerful app so the learning curve may be a bit more work than learning the Ren, and if you have MPC experience that will be even quicker.

The Ren has your audio interface, has phone inputs and grounding, and while it currently lacks the ability to record audio tracks (track data will be MIDI) you wisely copped Logic for that purpose. The Ren's interface probably should cover your audio input needs so no real need for a mixer either.

The Ren.Studio forum here is very lively and all the help you might need is going to be there, and the archives already have quite a bit of helpful reference.

I mainly want to bounce my stems from the REN into a DAW in order to mix and maybe edit a bit, or add some flavor with bass lines/synths. Besides Logic, has there been another DAW that has been getting good reviews as a Ren partner?

Some have Pro Tools, I see some guys really enjoying using Studio One (I know a lot of Maschine guys that track out to Studio One too). If I had a Ren (Hardware MPC's and Maschine to the side over here) I could see myself using Ableton Live to track out and host the Ren, just because you can do so much after tracking/re-sampling your sounds. And there's always Reapers free unlimited trial (it has a nag screen and is only $60 so after 30 days the developer just appeals to your sense of fairness on getting a license fee, But even still the app will be fully functional forever after the nag screen stops 30 seconds at launch). Reaper is powerful but the interface is very streamlined and it's dead easy to pick up.

But for general track outs/stem bounces and a good mixing environment Logic is perfect. It just takes a little bit longer to learn than some other DAWS.
