need OS 1.70 for mpc2k

i need OS 1.70 for akai mpc 2000 not 1.72.
do u know where can i find it?
i couldn't find it on akaipro site .

please help

The most recent version, to my knowledge, is 1.14 - built may 15 2001.

There is a guy apparently selling 2kxl's on Ebay with OS 1.2 - which seems to be a new, as yet unreleased OS that allows the MPC to communicate with internal IDE cardreaders - he's selling them with a PC multi card reader built-in. Everybody is waiting for that version of the OS to be officially released.

I've never heard of OS 1.7 (or 1.6, 1.5, 1.4, or 1.3 for that matter)

i'm talking about mpc 2000 not 2000xl.but do u think that 2kxl OS might work on mpc 2000?

no. dont use the xl os with the 2000.

the latest version is 1.72

im not sure where you'll get the 1.70 at. not sure why you want to....

so i cant help you....but the 1.72 is here

It has been covered many times before. Check the archives if you care. There are a couple of bugs in 1.72 that are not in 1.70.

is that new OS really needed to upgrade to a cardreader. I believe MPC3000 has had one installed for a quite a while without that OS...can anyone clarify this

Don't know it helps but I have 1.3 and 1.5 for the MPC-2000.
