this guy is pretty dope, with the fast playing. does it look to you like he is hitting 1 pad that is the full beat, then just playing the drums live under it with a few chops from the song? at first i was like, hes too cocky with that sample, but he seemed pretty down to earth in his interview. his hype man needs to calm the **** down though.

also, here is a little interview with him,

yeah.. that i can't stop track has been remixed to death.... been to a couple of electronic shows and did a set at a gig last month and I must have heard a few acts who spun tracks with that... one night I heard a few remixes of that track by different people. O.o...

not really feeling it, I mean... cool and all that... but you switch tabs on the browser and it isn't really listening material IMO.

yeah i agree, it does get old fast, but its pretty dope that he can keep time and all that. thats the coolest part to me. i wish there was more versatility in it too though, all his videos seem like he is just repeating the same old thing.

it does make me wonder what some of his actual beats sound like though.

it might have been cool if he switched the drum kit up a bit... slamming that crash is an effect that gets worn out... I dunno.. fingers hayes is an amazing finger drummer that you could appreciate and watch for hours... there is something these types of live mpc guys are missing IMO.

Yeah, they lack subtlety and don't actually have a ****' clue how to play the drums.

this guy's like araabmusik but even less impressive... he doesn't go as fast, and that's the only thing that sets araab at all apart.

pretty simple stuff he's doing actually... just right hand on a hat/cymbal/sample, and left playing a simple kick/snare beat, with a cymbal/sample every 4 beats or whatever...

i was feeling your drums, and the horn line, but when you put that synth in, it sounded kinda out of tune to me.

keep workin at it bro. i think you could make something pretty dope with that horn line if you switched it up and added some other stuff under it. im just not feeling the synth or the piano thing you put on it.
