sample while sequence

I bought this akai mpc 5000 for a price that i could not pass, but in hoping of getting a JJ os or a 2.5 OS upgrade will be a dream come true. I wish Dan Gil just could just talk to akai to release a open OS for everyone to contribute and make this akai the best mpc ever,..I know its possible to sample while seq is playing. I have the timing bug also but lets hope for the best... this year.

Dan mentions a new update to the 5K OS at every gear (marketing) convention, but it'll probably never happen.

What Coz said, 5k being discontinued they have no business a.k.a money incentive to work on it.

MPC 1000, or 2500 would have been a much better choice in terms of OS maturity IMO...if you want to get on the hope wagon MPC Ren/Studio should have been your pick
