I know. Here too. My opinion is that it really is getting outdated compared to all the software that is out now (traktor, serato and even ableton if u want to).

But im still using my 2kxl, so maybe im just being a hypocrite. :roll:

I've seen laptops crash onstage a few times. One time it was a headline set at a big festival and they couldn't get it working again. :Sigh:

Every Ableton DJ 'performance' I've seen has been boring, so I wouldn't pay good money to see someone press play and dick around with a mixer for an hour again.

CDJs are solid and do one thing very well... kinda like a 2KXL. 8)

I still use CDJs for back up while DJing... just in case.
That Pioneer RMX-1000 thingy with all the knobs and doohickies reminds me of this...

I think cd'j's were developed with a turn table style platter to allow people to to dj with easy to find icds from your high street music stores as opposed to vinyl been a harder to find comodity, I spent years buying vinyl through mail order, with today's technology I don't see the point in doing either anymore.
