Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

Whats up y'all, I have an Mpc 2000 classic. It was purchased awhile back and used it to the fullest, time passed an I kept it in my closet for about 3-4 years. I just broke it out again to get busy and it started up fine. 4 years ago I could get a box of floppies at Walmart, office depot. Etc, but not these days so I decided to use some old samples to get the feel of it again. It was good but over the past couple days ive noticed some white noise / plain empty noise heard in headphones an thru my mixer and speaker setup. I hear it when nothing is being played too. I begin to raise volume and noise is there, mostly from right side it seems. I already switched headphones, applied the "wiggle test" on lines IN/OUT.

Has anyone heard/ experienced this? Input is much appreciated.

Volume pot? I just recently took cover off, checked ground, and used some mellow compressed air to get rid of dust.etc. It went away for awhile and returned shortly after. I cleaned it out again, this time very thorough. Noise went away for awhile again, then returned. I powered off, then powered on after a couple seconds, loaded my program/sounds, and as soon as I hit play the noise came back. Could this be a memory problem? Or a "volume pot"

Thanks again.
