you should def buy it, i wuldnt even use my 1k with stock os.

its a modified version of the mpc os, read the jjos subforum.

there is also a jjos comparison chart that shows you the differences in features between the factory os and all the differnt jjos's.

there is 3 versions a free one, a mid tier one (jjos 2) and a top tier one jjos xl, or jjos 2xl (both the same os, but one is for 2500 and one is for 1k.)

now we also have 2 more jjos versions 128os and 128xl os (the big screen one, and the big screen xl version)

check out this thread, i break it down for someone pretty well here:

To be honest if you are using the AKAI O.S. I just feel sorry for you. :(

JJOS2XL can be looked at as something vital as finally getting the pad alignment in
a chromatic order, to complete external control of the MPC.It has features even the current model(Ren)does not offer.Google JJOS and read the manual for JJOS2XL.

nice, great job, that looks easily repeatable. have you had any communications with Murai about this bug?

i have had workflow issues with copy/paste as well, this has been an on/off issue over a long time. i'll try to reproduce this in os128xl

but to the original poster, note that specific issues in GRID EDIT like these - that are easy enough to work around - are far better than having either an inferior GRID EDIT (akai os mpc2500) or no GRID EDIT at all (akai os MPC1000)

gracias Nym por tú atención y apreciación.

Nym wrote: you had any communications with Murai about this bug?

no.
