Assign to pad

I am new to the mpc 2500 never used one before. I figured out how to load everything in but I cant figure out how to load lets say a sound to a pad. Is there a way to highlight the sound you want and then how do you assign them to your pads. Thanks for helpin a newbie

Did you look in the table of contents ?

Did you read for more than 2 minutes ?

Take the time to read the manual, you will find answers to most of your questions. It's the best tip i can give you.

And yes, the answer you are looking for is in the manual. Page 78.

That's typical of Nukai to put such basic info towards the back of the manual.

that does seem a bit weird... there should be a 'quick start' manual if there isn't one already. when you got a minute tutor

What are you guys talking about ? There is a lot of info to cover in the manual... they had to begin somewhere... I had no problem at all when i read it for the first time even though english is not my first language. It's easy to use, just read it and/or use the table of contents.

And for the "quick start manual", it's there, just google "MPC2500 quick start manual".

The OP didn't take the time to read the manual for more than one minute, that's all. No need to reinvent the wheel for that.

The beginning is usually a good place to start.

There's no logical reason why they cover Sequencing, Song Mode, Q-links and Grid Edit before they even tell you how to assign a sample to a pad.

The quick start manual only covers assigning a sample to a pad if you've physically taken the sample, so that's useless if you're loading sounds from a CF card.

we all know the 2500 can't assign samples anyways
