I have another quick question. Is there a way i can record something while my beat is playing in the MV without recording all those sounds playing? It would be really useful for me to record scratches, but i can't find a solution.

it's been a while.. but I believe so, because you are able to adjust the input gain for mics and that is so you can record a take I would guess... this would be done in the sample screen... not the mixdown mode I mentioned earlier.

Right, it's in the sample screen! I just found a solution, you have to unplug the master output cables and use the phones output instead. Maybe, there's a more convenient way to do it but that will do the job :smoker:

oh I see what you mean... so you dont hear the mv from the speakers while rapping or what have you...

I guess turning the volume down didn't work? Or switching the master output temporarily to digital out (so nothing happens)

What i wanted to do is to record only the external source(scratches, instruments or rapping...) while having my beat from the MV playing, without recording what's coming out from the MV. I don't know if it's clear :?
Using the phones output is the only thing that seems to work, i didn't find anything about this in the manual.

Ok, it's because of this i think. My mv goes to my mixer, and then my mixer goes to my monitor and my mv.

does it still do it if you mute the mixers mv outputs?
maybe you were just getting a loop like you said.

Do you mean muting the outputs from my mixer? I don't think i can do this , it's just a basic dj mixer. But it's not really a problem, i just have to unplug a cable, and everything works fine :-D

yeah thats what i meant, i was thinking unplugging the cable would work too, but it would be better if you didnt have to do that.

glad you got it to work though :-D

Borat, what you want is called Direct Recording. Used it a million times to lay vocals over beats.
