Factory Sounds

Hello

Does anyone have got any idea where one can download the original factory sounds for the mpC5000? It came with Loopmaster sample stuff etc.. They're not here!

I only have in the rom some old skool drumkits, the synth programs, a mpc5000 string program and a acoustic piano program. But there's nothing on the hard disk. I was hoping it came with some bass guitar programs!

I have managed to get the Loopmasters samples thanks to a forum member.

Still looking for the original sample collection like bass keygroup programs etc...!

are you talking about the loopmasters file that contains the "drum kit programs" / "drum samples only" / "loops" folders?? it's about 556.9MB in size...

have you tried contacting loopmasters or akai ?

Hello there! I already have those. Never use them, though

I'm unsure what else was on the HD... The internal ROM has a few kits, programs (like strings, etc), and also the synth presets. So those I already I have. I was hoping the MPC came stock with more keygroup programs like multi sampled bass, etc...

I will probably never use these, but nevertheless I would like to check them. The drumbox kits in the ROM, though, are pretty dope to add on top of sliced drumbreaks. Especially the 808 kickdrum. That's some serious layering material!

On a sidenote, can I change what's in the ROM? Can I delete and add stuff? It seems impossible at first sight...
