The RPM on my sample is reduced greatly when i hit the the p

Hello all,

i have just recently entered the world of music production. For my sins i purchased a 4000. I'm at the stage before newb. I'm an effing foetus!

When i added the sample to the program i replayed the sample on the pad. The sound was so slow. Agonizingly slow.

What am i doing.....or not doing?

well it not a clever move to start on the 4000 as this is the most advanced MPC with a full flaged sampler.. anyway.

In slow you may mean all pitched down / the low octaves / - which on drum loop apear as slooooow..

This could be the case that when you are for example in sample list/editing window
in the righ upper corner you see what is actualy outputed: SAMPLE/PROGRAM/MULTI

when i editing samples and there is SAMPLE / the first bank of 16 pads - A / are the lowest notes.. so try to change the bank to C or D - if the sound pitch up/speeds up..
in this case it is the problem of OUTPUT mode - and you have to change it / with data wheel / to either MULTI or PROGRAM..

but also you could be lost as Fcuk@ if you new even tu music.. not the monster MPC..

Simple answer is that you created a keygroup program instead of a drum program.

But to even know that you should read the manual first!

1st tip: Get the manual and start on page 1.

When you sample, the keygroup is pitched to the note number. The most accurate sample pad would be in Bank B, Pad 13. This will play back your sample accurately.
