Wouldn't we all love it if audition worked whilst a track is playing.. not that it will ever be possible but i'm just saying...

It'd be great, but at least the pads are still active in Load and sounds triggered from the pads can play at the same time as your auditioned sample.

The MPC 500 is the only hardware MPC that allows auditioning of sounds from CF cards while the sequence plays.

what would be even cooler were if you could also audition by virtually assigning the sound to be auditioned, onto a pad that is already in use.. where if you press the pad where you have a snare drum for example, that has been programmed into a beat... it will play and replace the snare pattern with this new sound you are checking out.. press another pad, and it will pay this new pattern and let the previous sound back into the beat again... would be great when you want to replace a hit, but don't want to just load up a sound and replace it to hear how it sounds only to find out its not quite right... and this way you could just scroll and check sound by sound and hear it in action right away and get a proper taste before you decide to use it.

i think there are some similar browsing features in some software stuff, so it wouldn't be impossible to do.
