Hook up the MPC with the computer

Just got the MPC 2000XL, ( First time MPC-user )

I wonder If I can hookup the MPC with the soundcard and the computer..

I guess you can,. But I dont really know how to do, And wich cables do I need ?..

I got the MPC 2000XL, Turntable, DJ-Mixer,, USB-soundcard and monitors..

I have no manual,. And I have no USB-ZipDrive. So I cant move drums from my computer to the MPC..

There's audio which comes out of the 1/4th inch audio outputs, and data (like programs and sequences) that comes out of the scsi on the back, or whatever internal drive you have. Which are you trying to send between your computer? The finished beat? Or transferring little pieces like drums and samples too and from your computer?

main outs 1/4" of the mpc into the usb audi interface.

hit record in audacity.

hit play on mpc.

done.

^looks like your external sound card is RCA input only, so grab a dual 1/4th inch to RCA stereo cable.

The idea was to transfer the finished beat, And take some drums n bass from the computer back to the MPC.

Will check it out later,. And see if I can figure it out.

Your problem is no midi. Even though, if you have the sympte connected you can use it but midi is the route you want.
