Hey,
Basically got my ren the other day hooked it up to my mac, plugged 2 jacks from the stereo outs to my focusrite saffire 14 fw interface.
Load up a project I'm working on, everything is playing fine but it doesn't seem to be running through the anologue cables and into my saffire, like when I open the saffire mix control I can see that it's giving me audio levels from my mpc ren but it's in the "DAW channel" but there not coming into the anologue inputs 3&4 where the ren is actually hooked up.
I've opened the settings on the mpc and the audio prefs say the saffire is being used as my interface.
This is strange but I'm basically just looking to hook it up this way so I am use the main volume knob on the ren instead of having to keep reaching down to my saffire.
If anyone could help would be very appreciated
Peace

The thing is, you won't be able to record the output of the Ren through the sapphire if the Ren is your selected interface. Also, I'm not sure if in plugin mode, the Ren can record audio to your daw while it also plays back. Never tried it. I say your best bet is to connect the Ren to the saffire, set the saffire as your daw interface, and run Ren in standalone instead of plugin mode. This is also the only way to get vintage mode in your recording.
