Bug reports & end-user support for Akai's MPC Software 'controllers' including the new MPC Studio 2, the MPC Touch, MPC Renaissance & original MPC Studio and MPC StudioB lack.

I think akai did you guys a favor by even giving a rough release date, I've used tons of software when you get no notice whatsoever, or if you do it's atleast a month behind. It's the nature of software, how some of you don't understand that is beyond me.

I get your angst completely, and I've have been at the forefront of many anti Numark threads due to the implementation of the ren. But on this issue I have to say how rediculious all this whining and crying Is. I understand that if things had gone better up till now there would probably be more good will and flexibility.

But i think there would be pages of complaining no matter what they did here. Even if they released 1.3 a week ago this thread would just turn into complaints about features and bugs not fixed. Probably some of the exact stuff they are working on right now.

You guys always said, if they made an effort to improve the software that would atleast qualm some of the outrage. If it sucks so much sell your ren and jump on board when it's stable, or make music and be pleasantly surprised when you get notification of the upgrade. But this thread is petty and naive.

Waiting a week for a past due upgrade, hell two weeks. Big fuggin whoop. Despite how funny the drama queens in this thread are...

I've noticed a lot of people on these forums defending Akai's unprofessional approach.

Why?

It would have been more professional to state from the outset (ie Namm) that ''we're working around the clock to give users what they want in the next update. We can't give an exact date but we're aiming for a release in February or march. It's hard to put an exact date on these things as problems can arise at the last minute.''

That's it. No one here would be able to say anything to them. We'd just have to sit and wait patiently.

It's when you come out giving a date, getting users hopes up to fix thing's that many (not all) users think were 'broken' from the get go that you get this sort of back lash at Akai. My biggest gripe is the multitimbral&fx copy issue, having everything copy numerous times is killing my system & workflow. I NEED this up date. I'm dreading the compatibility issues of loading up all my old beats and them not playing right hence why I'm kinda shying away from making much around this specific 'release' period.

If Akai need to, then they should hire more people to carry the workload & get the job done on time.

I need the 1.3 update that we were told would be released by now and not people telling me to chill and wait until Akai are 'ready'.

Quite frankly :fku:

Some people arent aware of Akais wrong doings, while others side n get brainwashed by Jahrome. To be honest constant negativity wont go far, but I do think akai should be put on the spot every slip up they make. I call out Jahrome or Akai all the time, he calls it trolling I call it keepn it real

its Friday, who knows maybe they will drop it.

I doubt they work around the clock unless MusicBrands pays for overtime or pays a nice bonus. Why should they slave themselves otherwise?

Absolutely, you would think that with the Ren being their new flagship product Akai would invest in the necessary software development resources needed to make it a stable, top notch product. But then again, the MPC 5000 was also their flagship product......

This just looks bad on their part. The one in a million rare times they show up on the forum, is to tell us the software is delayed, then to give us a new release date. Then a week passes, that date rolls around, no software update, and once again they disappear from public sight and cease all interaction with loyal mpc customers. Leaving us all to wonder and guess what is going on, scratching our heads. Why even bother to come here and stir things up if there's any type of possibility that you can't meet that deadline. This whole thread and the backlash in it, is a direct result of Akai's actions. They should have never gave us specific dates if there was a chance of delay. Namm was a month ago and they gave us 2 dates and have missed both so far. Akai, please help yourselves, and have the courage to be honest with the customers of your product.

See, what did I tell you guys:

Love how they left it vague so that they'll have plausible deniability without making any more promise that they have to be accountable for. Very professional... attempt at damage control.

Of course brand loyalists like clint246clint /JAH/godlike/rougenavarre...etc. will tow the line and regurgitate such sorry excuses...

I must say I'm tried of this 1.3 mess and wish sometimes I never brought the Renaissance. If you really look at 1.3 new features......... you can do the same thing in FL Studio, plugins and a drum controller.

Think About It

If I say it'll be there Friday, then on Friday I say gv me a few days, maybe till Wed or Thu, then there is no need to explicitly mention next week. Next week can logically be deduced from reading the comment in its proper context. No need to go deep space 9 here.
