False information, Ren MSRP $1999 and street price is $1299, without any coupons applied. if stores drops price to below $1299 without any coupon rebates that's a price drop..there's difference between price drop and disounted item..

Only person spreading misleading information is you. The advertised price is set by Akai at $1299 in the US. No authorized Akai dealer can advertise it lower than $1299. The 'street price' is not the advertised price.

Major US retailers (Guitar Center, American Musical, Sweetwater, Musician's Friend, etc) will give you 10% off just by asking aka 'street price'. Sales happen every other week especially around any/all US holidays..last week was President's Day sales. During these times, the prices are even lower.

No informed shopper paid $1299 for the Ren.

I just ordered my MPC Ren. Just in time for 1.3. Got a pretty good price on it too.

Just to help others out, this is how you can buy it for 1066.99 flat. Go to jr.com, they're selling it for 1099.99. Take that price to zzsounds.com and they will not only "price match" it, they'll beat the price and sell it to you for $1066.99. And on top of that you can split it up and pay $266 for 4 months.

Thats not bad at all. So by the time you've paid for it there should have been a couple of software updates, and technically these type of purchasers shouldnt be complaining about anything if they havent paid the full price yet. If only Lol
