Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

Hello all,
I have a MPC2000 with an external SCSI Plextor cd-rom drive. The thing is that when I burn my sounds and try to load them on the MPC I get the following screen:

https://fbcdn-sphotos-a-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-frc1/r270/860420_10200764635102966_614487411_o.jpg

I have read through the most, if not all, of relevant topics but still I can't get any solution, and this why I open a new one.

I have downloaded a bunch of software converting wav to akai format (*.snd), but still doesn't work.
I have checked the jumpers on cd rom (terminate position) and they look fine. Actually I have even tried all the possible combinations of jumper locations, with no results.

I am in a dead end, I kindly ask for your support.

Thank you

Documentation for Chicken Systems translator is available on their website.

If you need assistance in installing the software, contact them directly and they should be able to help you out.

Hello again.
I believe I did some good progress with the Chicken Translator, but I haven't solved the issue yet. This is what I do:
1.Create a virtual drive, using AKAI MPC format
2.Then I drag and drop my sounds on it (the transator creates quite many partitions) and automatically converts the files to MPC2000 format (*.snd).
3.Then I burn the virtual drive to a cd rom (*.imf or *.iso file)

Then I load the cdrom on the MPC and now the MPC identifies the cd rom having MPC2000 format, but my files do not appear.
I believe I need to do some modification on AKAI format settings:

Please anyone who knows what I need to do contact me.
Thank you

Let me be the first to say, don't it man. This will be more of a headache than its worth in the long run. Now with the xl it's a different story. But with a 2000 classic it's never gonna work 100% correctly over and over again. Also think of how expensive that will be after a year.... All those cdroms... Use that $$$ for a card reader

you know you can dump sounds from a cd rom onto a card... but you can also write to the card to save work etc.. cd rom drives are not too great for the mpc... IMO

I would be contacting Chicken Systems and asking if he knows how to get it working.

I can't see your picture files from my work computer (blocks the website). Are the samples you burned to the disk 16Bit files?

Contact Garth at Chicken Systems. He's the one I contact when I have problems with thier MV Kit Creator program for my MV.
