MPC Renaissance and MPC Studio v1.3 & 1.31 Bug Reports

it seems like all of my track inserts have reset to there default settings.. which is not cool at all!

I think i found a BUG.
When i Save my project which is at 88 BPM and load it again afterwards the Sequence says 88BPM but the MPC master track is running at 120 BPM (default)



It occurs when i load my project from the desktop AND from inside 1.3 (load recent project).

I just had the same issue when I created a new track and tried to reopen it from load recent and from the folder.

I just tried to open a track that I had already made and it reset my tempo for that back to 120 as well. This is gonna suck until they release an update for that.

Same here.
All the old projects are 120 bpm.
You have to manually alter this.
Some old samples are unheard while the software states that it is one a certain pad.

When adding a pad insert (in the pad edit screen, far right), it allows us to select routing the sound to the track mix (which would be preferred in most cases) from the new audio route drop down menu.

However as soon as you go to another screen and go back it reverts back to the submix.

Isn't this confusing to let us route to 'track mix' rather than greying it out as clearly it's not possible?

Using HDMI to 27" 1920x1024 Samsung LED LCD as second monitor, REN software will not go to full screen. Seems to stay same size as notebook monitor. Worked in V1.2; broke in V1.3

VSTi volume gain issue where track gain is too high and distorted. Selecting VSTi seems to correct the gain issue. Worked in V1.2' broke in V1.3 (Omnisphere)

Old project loaded runs at fast tempo (120bpm?) until selecting tempo which shows 83.9bpm.

Audio driver install stopped at point where requests to unplug REN and plug back in. Windows message bar reports driver install completed. Main driver screen is stuck and must be killed with task manager. After rebooting windows 7, install program reports audio driver was installed correctly.

How has no one mentioned that none of their beats load with the right BPM? Yeah, it says the wrong BPM on the software, but mine also play at the wrong BPM! So, I lost all my beats? None of them play correctly. What do I do? This is laughable quite honestly. They did not think to check into loading an old beat??????? WOW.

I had to post again to say I am **** stunned and in disbelief that nothing loads properly. I am not trying to load a beat from 2001 that was made on a MPC 2000, I am trying to load shit that was made last week on the Ren.

Others are able to load previous beats they have made on the renissance and they play correctly? try opening one that you do not have in song mode.

So you need to toggle the tempo with the hardware by 1 bpm and then just go back down and it works. Still a bit shocked no one happened to catch this when they were programming this .. i guess they only make sample beats at 120bpm.

1.3 seems better but damn this thing is still buggy, deciding whether to keep the Ren or not, still not sure. I like where they are going but the software still needs work. Software is stable for me but some plugins and vsts are glitching up on me where they were fine in 1.2 and the way they changed the layout of the mixer, it needs work. Also when I click in slices it doesnt add a slice where I click, its always off to the left, my volumes are acting up with my plugins in the mixer, and since they changed the mixer up my workflow is a little off now so I gotta play with it some more. A lot of little things that are bugging me. Not sure if this software thing is for me.

Not trying to get off topic. Do you guys restart your pc or mac right after the update install or do you install and jump right in to it?

I restarted mine. tempos are fine for me when reloading a program. I can load samples fine also

I don't know if it just me, but the dreaded noise (crackling sound) is back with 1.3. It starts of ok then it works its way in and get so bad that it sounds like an old vintage radio. The only way to get rid of it is to adjust buffers, latency and close the MPC program and re-open it. It will return after prolong play.

When I watch the new MPC University vid with Guru and he loads the plugin "The Bank" and select Program Edit the GUI automatically pops up and shows all Q-Link assignments but when I load it all the cool designs are missing and it looks like 1.2. Am i missing something here?

After installing 1.3 MPC Ren crashes when rescanning AU plugins. I tried removing Analog Laboratory, which appeared to be the cause, but I feel I'm doing something wrong as it still crashes at the same point.

Yes. You have to install them.

Is anyone else having a problem with the vst main volume jumping as high as it can go when you go into record mode, for example i have kontakt loaded up and loaded up with in that is new york concert grand witch is a piano and when i hit rec then play start the volume inside the piano vst shoots all the way up, wtf!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
