loop until retrigger

a nice feature on the S5/6000 but conspicuously missing from the Z4/8, MPC4K. anybody come up with a suitable workaround? i've dug around but found nada.

yes, i've read the manual. and i've searched the forum. and i've turned up nothing. so i'd be beholden unto you if you'd share just a tiny bit of your clarity. i understand how loop mode works. to my knowledge there is no "note on - play sample ad nauseum -- note off - stop sample playback" per se.

Stuff like this reminds me that I havent even scratched the surface of the MPC4000 after 6-7 years ownership. Not that I use the machine often, but still. A million reasons not to sell the beast from the east.

And to think, I almost parted with it...but i couldn't. :-D

Load up a bunch of loops in the same tempo and you got yourself an live
Abletonquese station for pad pushing!
