Watched the video Divide idea is cool.

Would also like to set the end point software waveform view centred as you can't see whats coming up until BHAM! there it is!
Even a split zoom view like the 4k used to have.

does that mean, we could possibly see this in 1.4? what about any incremental updates like 1.3.1...etc? like take some of the issues with 1.3 and make minor adjustments to the code and send that back out. by the time we get to 1.4, there wouldn't be that much of a delay.

unlikely for 1.4. It's a matter of setting priorities. We'll see. Can't make any promises.

Pete, please, please put the re-chop feature forward, on the 5000 you can chop, divide equally by lets say into 8 regions, then select region and hit Edit and divide again.... I still don't understand why the chop shop functionality was not matched.

JJOS does this:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=pl ... K3sfXO6ySY

Make it 1.5 but please include it, the chop shop was only in 1.3 improved before it wasn't even a chop shop. Please send it forward to Dan and just get it sorted for us.

The loop one i suggested is a no brainer.. must have

Lets do this :-D

One small thing that bugged me. When I import a song to sample I'll zoom in to set the start and end points, then select "extract" and name it. Then when that's done I'm zoomed back out again. My start and end markers are still there, but having to zoom back in each time I extract a chunk of the song is a little annoying.

previously posted by me but this would be my dream feature.imagine ...looking at your sample on a computer monitor .U hit the 1st pad in the lower most left corner on your Mpc.the sample on the screen starts to scroll from left to right.(the waveform moves)while the sample moves there's a cursor indicating the currently audible region.(as the cursor passes over the section of a sample that's what u hear.) then u hit pad 2 a chop is created ,then u hit the 3rd pad another chop is created, then the 4th pad and so on until your sample is chopped across 16,32,48 ,etc, etc, pads.simply as the sample plays you would use the pads to automatically chop and assign your chopped samples to a program. the first pad tap would be the beginning of the sample the next pad tap would be the end of the previous sample as well as the beginning of the next /2nd sample the 3rd pad tap would be the end of the 2nd sample and the beginning of the 3rd sample(sample edits wouldn't be destructive so u could always edit sample to your liking) ...etc,etc,etc..do y'all see what Im getting at?I don't know if this has been talked about before on a mpc but i think it would be a great idea.

Geoff

I said I wouldn't comment but this one I am passionate about. Nondestructive chopping should be implemented like the JJOS first...Maschine 2nd.

The Ren pretty much already does it like the JJ OS. It just needs the ability to freely editing the Start point of slices (when Link is OFF) and modify the code so that slices references a single file as not to create numerous duplicates.

The Ren's Pad Copy feature should be more like Maschine's Duplicate function. So when the Ren copies a pad and paste them to multiple pads, the copies should be able to be edited indepedent of one another in Sample Edit Mode but reference the same file as to not create duplicates.

that would be incredible. reminds me of chopping in logic with "/". I feel it would be possible to pull it off.
