Feature Suggestions: MPC Renaissance

seems AKAI misunderstood the zoom from hardware.. its nice to be able to zoom on the various screens though shift+direction BUT what about zooming in on the waveform of the hardware screen? i would bet most people requesting hardware zoom meant THAT, not what you did.

Zooming is great but as you zoom in the waveform should zoom it on hardware too.

I dont know if this has been said before, but imho, a sequence-specific track mixer is not the way to go.

I bet most people have the same programs and stuff on the same channels throughout the song, so if you decide to turn down the bass channel a bit, it's annoying to have to do that for every sequence.

Zooming is great but as you zoom in the waveform should zoom it on hardware too.

imho, it'd be handy if you could use the - and + keys to zoom in/out...if you moved the focus on the waveform using the cursor keys first.

shows note events only so if you got an event on pad bank A and one on pad bank D you can see they with out having to scroll all the way up or down the piano roll

we had a whole thread on this and we got shift and curse and i use the word curse rather
than cursor because it is a curse to use i just given up and just use the mouse
i know i said it before but am gutted about this one.

How about auto save that we can set to 3 or 5 even 10 minutes apart , so when we run into a crash the work wont be lost.

Needs to be able to act as a sound module within Daw etc.

By example, we need either the ability to have multiple instances or the Ability to assign midi channels nos to programs ( like other Akai samplers).

I came close to getting Rid of my MPC ren, because I was finding it difficult to integrate into my existing workflow. BUT I find the unit very creative when it comes to starting up ideas. And since have started some nice tracks.

I would be alot happier if I could import the midi file into my DAW and then assign the appropriate programs, to the individual tracks, and still use the REN Hardware to edit my programs and samples.

I don't know if this omission is intentional of AKAI, locking us into the sequencing side of the MPC software, but I find it weak that it cannot operate like other plugins within a DAW.

oh, and almost forgot, more outputs, preferbly some mono !!!

A simple gain plug-in.
For when your track is already at 100 but you need to get it up by a dB or two instead of taking others down.

The ability to select all tracks for bringing all their volume up/down.

Please make sample loop lock OFF by default.

At least for now, I feel that in track mute view, the unused tracks should show in the same color as the muted tracks.

I realized that when I was doing a lot real quick muting and unmuting and wanted to see what tracks are playing; I muted all tracks and somehow seeing the unused tracks show up in the color of non-muted tracks is a bit misleading – because, imho, when you mute all tracks you've got, it should look like nothing's playing.
As it is for now, it kind of makes you think – when you're working really fast and just peeping it real quick – that you've got some tracks playing while in reality you don't: it's just the unused tracks showing up as "playing".

Also, I can't remember if this was said earlier, but having samples in alphabetical order in sample edit view would be super helpful.
