Is it possible to sync the loops that are on my drum and bass card in my roland JV-1080 to a mapped tempo on say pro tools? Its one thing doing it with sounds like rotating organs or phasers and things like that. I was just curiouso if it was possible and if so does anyone know what steps i should take? I have my MIDI set up correctly as far as ins and outs go and I can record MIDI data no problem., I also have synced things like arpeggiators to a mapped beat. It seems tho when I have a drum loop set off by midi it doesnt sync with the click.

As far as my interface goes I have old equipment but it suits my needs.
I use pro tools 6.4 and the digi 001.

Yes you can sync up with an external midi clock.
yes its an older synth but the midi is all the same.
They are certainly compatible its just how to get the jv to play drum loops or whatever and it be in sync with the beat of the grid on pro tools while i touch the key on my midi controller. Does that make sense ?
