Anyone Run Reason inside Protools 6?

Anybody run Reason inside ProTools 6 in Mac OSX?
I'm thinking about that for more sounds, and I've been told it just
opens up like a plugin by running rewire on it's own.
Somebody sell me on this ish if you like using that setup,
or correct me if I'm wrong so I don't jump to PT6.
That would be my only reason for using 6. I got tons of plugs for 5
on os9, so, advice anyone?

I run it in PT on a pc sometimes. It works pretty much the same as any other soft synth within PT, if you like some of the stuff Reason has to offer(the NN-XT is under rated) but hate Reasons sequencer(not a fan) then you'll probably like using it in PT, couldn't hurt(unless of course you have problems when upgrading to 6.?.

Very cool, C. That's what I wanted to know. I Sequence w/ the MPC, but I would sequence the softsynth stuff w/ Protools. Do you have to do anything with re-wire, or it just runs in the background automatically?

yeah i think u just open ptools the reason and it will rewire it self. u just need to set the inputs in protools to reasons outs to get it all set up. it takes like 2 seconds to get it workin as a sound mod.

When you insert Reason on a track the ReWire window will pop up and you just have to select the outputs(up to 64 of em), Reason will also open up with whatever default session you have it set for(I have it default to 4 NN-XT's, 2 NN19's and 2 Redrums). To sequence it in PT just create a midi track and select the device as the output(NNXT1,2,3, etc.), arm it and you're good to go.

I'm really startin' to get used to sequencing in PT, the Click plug(it has the infamous MPC click) makes it feel more like "home" and it has MPC groove quantizing templates as well. 6.7 is lookin' like it's gettin' even better with the Beat Detective funtions and some new midi features.
