Should be very simple to implement these...

1. Let us select ("multiple, current, all" pads) in program edit, from the hardware so we dont have to resort to the mouse every time we go into program edit

2. Purge samples not used in a project, as of now it only purges samples not used in programs

3. Automation of a whole program from Q Links/hardware

If they add these things, and continue to improve stability, I will be happy, and anything else would just be extra icing on the cake for me. Some people really want 64 bit I know, but not me. =)

1. In Program Edit, Master, Q16 should have level/volume for the entire program.
2. Ability to select multiple samples (via shift or ctrl) in your samples pane to delete more than one at a time.
3. Ability to sort samples alpha-numerically!
4. AD envelope
5. Ability to move multiple or all track faders at once!
6. Vintage Mode on ALL outputs and ALL exported stems! Not just outs 1 and 2.
7. More virtual outs.
8. Better piano roll editing with the mouse. Note pasting placement is terrible!
9. Ability to set the default editing tool. I never use the pencil too. I'd rather the selection tool be the default!
10. Ability for the sequence to key playing when I load a sound to a pad. Currently the sequence stops when you press LOAD!
11. Proper gain structure for mixing.
12. Gain meters and faders for submixes.
13. Gain meters for Program Mix.

All other major features, I can wait for.

Damn nice list, lol, Akai needs to take notice here. They add some of this stuff and the Ren is untouchable.

Everything said here, and complete automation ability of all insert parameters.
and 64bit.

^Word. I would love auto preview to be on by default...my lil 2₵....it's annoying always having to click it when I'm going through mad samples.

1. 64 bit
2. Nondestructive chopping (without sample duplication)
3. Sample/Slice Fine Edit on LCD
4. Quick FXs (sampling with Insert FXs)
5. Audio tracks
6. More virtual audio outputs
7. Mixer channel strips for Submixer
8. Alternating (Forward<->Reverse) sample playback
9. Lock slices
10. Open/Close Plugin Instrument GUI from hardware
11. Open/Close browser from hardware
12. Step Edit/MIDI Event list editor
13. Sample Editing using Data dial
14. Program Audition in Sample Edit Mode
15. Import additional file formats

The rest of my several hundred feature requests I can wait for..... :-D

All of the above + the slices playing as they will when chopping!!! this thing annoys me a little, that I have to maintain the note on to hear my future program and play with it.

+1 audio tracks a.s.a.p

 Also a waveform player for the software file browser so you can see the audio. so you can see the transition in the song like this here:

 Make the enter button useable for select and input acceptance commands.

1.64 Bit
2. More mono/stereo outs
3.Short Keys for all commands on paper (cheat sheet)
4. More Hardware Control

*Can someone explain to me the difference between audio tracks and samples? I keep hearing people say audio tracks but I not sure why we can't do that now?

*Is there anyway to pull up effects from the hardware? I can't find out how. I'm starting to get more familiar with the hardware and trying not to use the mouse as much.

-Step edit
-AD envelope
-gain meters for program mixer
-actual zoom of waveform on hardware
-audio tracks

I've only had the Ren a few weeks so I'm sure my list will grow with time....

BPM readout on the sample edit,

Step Edit like the guy before stated

Clearer windows for assigning inserts and sends in the effects page and program mix.

Rename program mix to pad mixer and track mix to program mix to simplify the confusion some users may have.

Of course duplicate sample to pad as per original request.

BPM readout on the sample edit

+1!!!..

Would be dope if u record a sample and the MPC reads out the BPM...makes your workflow quicker with timestretch/pitching etc.....
By foge1 Thu Feb 28, 2013 10:52 am
1) non destructive chop - don't need any other chopping stuff if this is done well.
2) realtime timestretching and pitch shifting

Non destructive chop first because if I am going to be using things like realtime time stretching , pitch shifting if I have used destructive chopping to chop up a long sample I may have to enable timestretching , pitching for multiple samples rather than just the one sample which was non destructively chopped. I.e I would like it to feel like traktors cue points and pitching rather than a complicated cluster**** of pain.

3) non destructive reverse and forward/backward playback.
4) keymap sampling SORT IT out. Get it working, fix the bugs, then ADD the 4ks modulation matrix. The 4k allowed you to combine controllers in complex ways i.e. I could create on one pad 8 velocity switching kick drums sampled dry and the have the same again for Overheads and same for room and set cc22 to control the level of the room cc23 to control the Overhead, cc24 to control decay etc.
GET The 4k mod matrix in there!
5) Sampling through effects
6) Patch browser like Logic's with channel strip and individual plugin settings. This one feature is the main reason I could never leave Logic until other DAW manufacturers get this as slick.
7) auto zoom - u touch a start time x1 it zooms appropriately u touch x1000 it zooms appropriately. There is no reason for me to have to zoom as well the controls are laid out so that if I am touching the x1 u know I am doing fine editing !!! zoom accordingly when I touch the qlink.
8) Quantise note length absolutely freaking essential! its 2013 even Logic does this badly sigh!
9) step seq use the qlinks e.g 4 velocity, filter cutoff etc.
10) play scales from pad
11) chord memorise/arpeggiator
12) the 4ks dual output for tracks
13) allow midi output from vsti's like arpeggiators etc.
14) AHD
15) beat repeat effect
16) Atomic synthesis HA HA!

It would be easy to go on
