Audio device setup changed

Does anyone get this at startup or know how to get rid of it? My setup hasn't changed in months and this shows up every day.

Did you open the software before you power on the renaissance ?

No. I never turn the MPC off.

Sorry to revive an old thread but the OP was never answered and I am having the same exact problem. It doesn't matter if the MPC is powered before or after opening the software, the same dialogue as the OP's screen shot pops up nearly every time:

Audio device setup changed
Your audio device setup has changed.
Do you want to select a different device?

Has anybody seen this problem and/or know how to correct it?

Something is accessing your audio card prior to the MPC software being opened.
Whatever it is it has different setting than the MPC software.
You need to change it from accessing the card or make it's settings match.

I believe the problem is fixed. I opened the sound prefs (Mavericks) and changed the "Play sound effects through:" drop-down from "Selected sound output device" to "Internal Speakers" and everything seems to be fine.

My setup is basic so I figured if something were accessing the sound card before the MPC, it could be the computer itself.

i have windows 7 and i get this same pop up since 1.7 got installed

It's not 1.7, it's your computer configuration.

I fixed this problem by going to (On Mac)
Sound Preferences->Sound Effects->Play sound effects through->MPC Ren(or your soundcard)

Then
Output->MPC Ren (or your soundcard)

Then in MPC Ren
Preferences->Audio->Output->MPC Ren (or your soundcard)
