The 1.3 million dollar question...

...I've read a lot of good things about the 1.3 update, but one thing is not really clear to me*. How's the crashing so far? Is the Ren really stable now**?

*(I know there are bugs still, that's not the issue, my main concern is crashing). ** I'm using Windows, not OSX.

Its way worst than before

To be honest it's very stable for me, the only crash issues that I had was in version 1.2 concerning the VST duplication bug other than that it hasn't crashed on me not once.

No crashes for me so far seems stable. I am not heavy on plugins and I use OSX.

It is not exactly "rock solid" as Dan mentioned, but it is a vast improvement! It only crashed once on me thus far my friend.

from what I've seen... Windows users are having more problems that Mac users.

Mine hasnt crashed on me this week. Thats big in comparison to previously. I DO use a lot of vsts and a handful of inserts. I'm on OSX though.

The Ren is pretty stable now. There is still some 3rd party plugins instruments that causes some issues though. I am running OSX.

Anyone using it without Any plugins..? AS a sampler sequencer? How much does it crash with out vst plugin junk?

Im on Osx my crashes when I try to save a project.

Mines never crashed once when I used it as a sampler and midi sequencer.

I recently gotten crashes when using plugins specifically Emulator X so far. Other than that it's been a nice update.

My man, either you are not saving it correctly or you have a faulty system. Have you contacted tech support or tried to return it? Are you really sitting on a $1100 peicof equipment that doesn't work? I can tell you now that no update is going to solve your isolated experience.

To the OP- I have not experienced one crash since the update. It would crash at least once a day on 1.2. So 1.3 is an improvement. I don't use a lot of plug ins like some do on this forum (25? Are you for real?). But I keep the Ren on for hours at a time and have not had any problems.

I'm on OSX 10.6.8 and using Audio Units instead of VST's. The only crash I've had is when I'm using the Arturia Analog Factory plugin.

Other than that things seem to be pretty stable.
