What's the general response like when you're using the trackpad with the Ren software? I use the Magic Trackpad with Cubase and it's a total glitch fest, especially when scrolling up and down the screen.
Music companies need to roll out 'pinch to zoom' as standard across DAWs.
It's OK! Not great. The scrolling sucks in many areas, and is inverted in others. Triggering samples with it is weird because you have to touch it with 3 fingers a certain way to make the software/computer happy to play the sound. And the sample editor not being able to play samples in ONE SHOT doesn't make it any easier! Also, sometimes my MBP doesn't always register my 3 fingers to do a mouse grab (with any application, not just MPC), especially when my hands are really dry. So moving markers around is really hard to get precise without moving the marker too far! And I don't use 0 snap. Most times it cuts samples too close to the peak, where sometimes you would want a slight bit of slack on the front of a sample. 0 snap won't let you. It's like it makes decisions for you. Not really precise IMO, depending on how you look at it!
